A small request with a big impact
Little bits add up to a lot
My good friends, Jenny, aka Elephant’s Child, and her husband, John, are working through his cancer treatments.
When Jenny sat in my library one day last fall, she told me about how John hadn’t been feeling well, and that he had gone to the doctor, been given a prescription for an antacid, and was feeling better. My comment was: If he’s feeling better with an antacid, it can’t be serious. A few days later she took John to the emergency room, and from there he was taken by ambulance to a bigger hospital. The devastating diagnosis came soon after.
Months later, the prognosis is very hopeful because the tumor was found early, and the chemo has been wildly successful. But there’s still radiation and surgery to get through, and lots of expenses insurance won’t cover, not to mention loss of income. Jenny’s sister has set up a gofundme page to help them get John into full recovery. I would be deeply grateful if you would contribute a little something. It doesn’t have to be a lot, but if you can, any amount will be of real help to them. Just click on the blue text above.

Let’s help make things well for John and Jenny. Here is the link again.

Thanks for letting us know JF. Cancer does come with many unexpected and uninsured expenses, including things like a cool cap (probably not for John😉),massage therapy, chiropractic care etc, that can make treatments less unpleasant. You are a good friend🙏
I'm floored. Completely speechless. A bit teary-eyed. May God bless everyone for their kindness, regardless of gifts.
