The air again hangs heavy. The sunlight is tinged with red from the wildfires in Canada, and we have been warned to stay indoors or wear N95 masks when outside for a long period of time. We have been planning to take the dogs to the lake today, and after discussing it, decided we would still go. Usually, the wind from the lake makes a difference, and with no baby robins on the air conditioner, the air indoors should be fine.
We are both in need of some downtime. It will be nice to spend a day doing nothing. I have been planning to pick up sandwiches and salads from the local deli, and maybe a couple of beers, and we will just hang out with Auggie and Eli, throwing balls for them, and floating
The coyotes were busy last night, screaming in the woods around 2 am, and this morning, one crossed our yard alone. She was as big as Auggie—which is surprising—and looked healthy, with a shiny reddish coat and a black-tipped tail. My husband walked into the woods with the dogs later, and they were very interested in who had been there a short time before.
I have things to do here, but they will wait until tomorrow. Off to the lake and my dragon.
Maybe you should consider doing nothing today.
Happy Sunday.
