I hope that they will be wonderful neighbours and the process of building the house won’t be a worry for the boys.

The boys won’t even notice!

Your new neighbors and their new abode sounds promising. I hope it all works out. Finally.

Perfect reading while waiting for my spouse to have his CT scans.

Hope all goes well.

This sounds very promising and I’m very happy for you and them.

It’s a good sign that your new neighbors respect the property as it stands. It’s probably what drew them to the lot. I can’t figure out what is in the photo by Scary Lisa.

It’s a little frog.

Of course! Now I can see him clearly. Thanks!

We just lost our neighbor who lived across the street for 28 years and I will so miss his booming voice greeting me in his walk to the mailbox: ‘how ya doing neighbor!’ He was a conservative Southerner and I was a liberal Yankee transplant, we enjoyed getting to know each other. In an age where many don’t know neighbors, he was a gift.

That’s sad.

I was grateful to know him!

If we could know about the thousands of wise choices and acts of kindness people are making each day we may become more optimistic. Thank you for sharing this one. Fabulous photos today.

I hope the trees bode good neighbors. There was a blue and black toad in our shed the other day...never saw anything like it. He watched me weed the vegetables and I left him where he was. Personally I thought he could have helped!

I'm reminded of the frog in the window well.

Yes, me, too! Wonder what happened with them?

Sounds like a happy ending to your concerns. I too would hate bright shiny things being placed in bucolic settings, or sacrificing mature trees for ostentation … just because people can if they own something. 😒

Good neighbors are a gem….a true blessing. Like attracts like, so you have no worries 👌🏻

The next-door neighbors we share our driveway with, for decades now, are a true blessing. I visualize the same for you 🙌🫶🏽

Who’s the narrator today? 😉 I was disappointed not to hear your voice!

J. F. Riordan's avatar

It’s a required AI voice. If I don’t narrate, they do it whether I want them to or not. Ticks me off.

Hope the new neighbors are nice and stay around. The original house you described sounds so lovely. I hope this one will also be lovely and I am glad that they are working within the parameters of the natural landscape.

Wonder if they have a dog. 🤔

I hope that the new house will be as charming as the one that was leveled.

Sans vinyl siding......hopefully!
