I realize many of you are not in Wisconsin, but just in case, I thought some of my upcoming public appearances might be of interest.
On Tuesday, October 7th, from 10-12:30, I’ll be at the Thiensville Farmers’ Market. No, not buying dahlias (I’ll do that first!), but at the Friends of the Weyenberg Library’s booth. You can buy a book, or ask me to sign one you already have. Or, just stop by to say hello. I know. I need to get a new photo. Auggie will be there, too.
On Tuesday October 14th from 1;30-3:00, I’ll be giving a talk about writing, and finding the way your own brain works in order to write with greater facility. It’s part of a series of classes available at the Elm Grove School for Lifelong Learning, and registration is available online. I will be bringing some books along, but you can just come and participate.
And on Sunday, October 19th from 12:30-3:00, I’ll be speaking at an event at the Frank L. Weyenberg Library in Mequon, Wisconsin to promote book clubs. Did you know that I’m available either in person or via Facetime to speak with your book club? Now you do. Come and say hello, and support the Library.
I am available to speak at private events, as well. You can reach me at northofthetensionline@gmail.com

We are not the only human beings in history who have lived through trying times, and adversity does not require that we live in abject misery. It’s essential to remind ourselves of the good things in the world. Come and hang out with me, the dogs, and this stalwart little community of good people. If you can’t afford a paid subscription, you can still read and comment.
Also: dog photos.
Be of good cheer.

Wish I were there! Good luck and have tons of fun at your upcoming appearances! We have coyotes here. They are beautiful but very scary. Look but don’t touch, ever!
The look like loyal sentinels, ready to protect the homestead.
