I’m glad she found a wildlife rehab person to help raise the baby birds. Also it’s great to see Oscar. I have several friends with Wirehairs over here but I’ve still never seen one in person yet. Does their personality differ any from the other varieties?
I think he may be a little different. My impression is that his personality is softer, less stubborn, less headstrong. He’s also very trainable, which is not a dachshund trait.
That sounds ideal! Having an almost 1 year old in the house has been trying at times but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Baron is loving and way too smart. But train ability is still in question. We really need to work harder at it but his stamina far outlasts ours.
I had no idea Dachsunds looked like your sister's cutie. Something new learned. Much admiration for your sister saving the birds. You have an amazing family of animal lovers!
I love your sister for taking such good care of her baby robins. Fortunately, the mother of our three robins was exceptional in the care and feeding of her babies. In a perfect world, once your sister’s robins can fly, they’d fly back and thank her with a song or two. In a perfect world. Although, it would have been hilarious to take them to the funeral.🤭
Oscar is a beautiful boy. Love of animals certainly does run in the family.
Good morning Oscar. You accompanied your Mom and the robins on a road trip that will give them a chance to grow and thrive. This is such a warm heart story. Thank you and your sister.
A few years ago we had a nest built in a wreath on the glass front door. It was such a joy to watch the babies grow and thrive.
robins are relatively easy to raise.
on a side note, i took a baby cardinal (named your eminence) to a springsteen concert. the stadium guard was so confused and just waved me in
Oscar looks like a delightful little guy.
What a lovely story to wake up to! Thank you❤️
I didn’t know there was such a thing as a full-sized dachshund! Oscar is adorable🥰
They’re the originals!
I didn’t know that, either!
😊
Thanks for reminding me there are other, more important, things in life than DJT. It was a better way to start my day than doom & gloom.
Your sister, like you, has a good heart. Hope the baby birds do well. Oscar is a cutie. Thank you for sharing.

Wirehairs are more common in Germany.

Your sister has a beautiful soul, just like you. The dog is so adorable!
You’re sweet.
I so love dachshunds.
Thanks to your sister for caring for the robins. All of God’s creatures need help every now and then.
Did I mention that I love dachshunds?
Something my family would have done as well, so glad there are people out there where this is what you do.
You are women after my own heart!
Beautiful 🌻
