A Midsummer Night’s Dream is such a joy to watch when performed outdoors. Enjoy!

It’s also a joy to watch performed indoors. I saw it in Chicago in the late 80s with Emma Thompson and Kenneth Branagh. Delightful.

Amazon just informed me that my preorder of Throwing Bears For George is no longer available. Would you please list your local bookstores again? Thanks so much. Laurie

That happened to me also, that my preorder has been cancelled. I just hoped that it was that the book isn’t finished. Not that it’s not going to happen. 🥺

My very insistent house wrens built their nest in our garage powder room. It was a mess of a nest, not very well put together at all! In that little room they were safe from everything including a big hungry chicken snake. They fledged Saturday and I’ve quickly reclaimed the bathroom. What a mossy, leafy, trashy mess that nest was. I’m glad they’re gone but I miss the constant chirping of mom and dad. A wren family comes every year. I huff and puff but I never bother them. I’m glad they come, but I’m glad they’re safely gone. M-S’sND is so silly it’s timeless. Hope it’s a good one.

How lucky you are to be able to attend a play outdoors. Here in the hot, humid south outdoor activities are minimized this time of year. Oscar is a cutie!

I am so looking forward to your book, but I also miss more frequent posts. Such a dilemma.

Not the same as writing a book, but whenever I was studying for an exam or had a paper due in college and law school, my house was amazingly clean!

Oscar is adorable. I just visited my Grandpuppy in Sarasota: a miniature wire haired terrier. She’s such a sweetie. Loved every minute with her. Sounds like your Spring has finally sprung and, as usual, things are bustling. Enjoy your theater outing and kisses to the lads.

We have a row of tall arbor vitae in our backyard where the birds build countless nests. We can’t see them but we see the parents darting in and out and we hear them. This past week must have been fledge week. we have seen so many little ones following their parents around standing a half inch away from them and chirping /flapping. Then they immediately open their mouths for food, even though they are as big as the parents!

I just wanted to say that I adore your newsletter. And Charlie's. And if Eli were any closer to S.W. Illinois, I would scritch his booty SO FREAKIN' MUCH. Also his ears because it's important to maintain balance. Thank you both for helping us maintain our balance...and/or sanity. Peace.
