I love this story of yours, & I've read it in the book previously! It's exciting, a tad scary, ends well, and has a good moral. Keep up your wonderful writing!
You have the most exciting adventures. I remember reading this the first time and thinking, as I was reading, there’s no way she’s going to recover her phone, and if she does, she will surely miss her flight. But, the kindness of strangers gave you a happy ending. And, I’m sure they will remember the very nice lady they helped with great fondness.
With few exceptions, I've found a lot of people who work for, in, or around airports want to help: The shuttle driver from airport parking. The sky cap (Do we still use that term? Do they still have them?) at passenger drop-off. Agents at airline check-in counters. The people who push passengers in wheelchairs from the check-in counter to their gate. The guys who drive the little golf carts through the terminals. The cab drivers. Of course, you can tip cab drivers most of the time, but the majority of other workers won't accept tips. It often seems, then, that I can't thank them enough for their kindness. 😊
My nightmares almost always deal with some travel crisis like getting lost or losing tickets… glad your travel pickle worked out. Thank you for reminding me that there are still kind, good hearted people out there!
I’m getting ready for my big solo international trip and losing my phone is my biggest fear. Phones these days are more than just a calling device-it’s my camera, my email, all my reservations, my Apple wallet, etc are on there.😳😳
That feeling in the pit of your stomach and heart in the throat suddenly came roaring up😬
And I’d let that cutie rearrange the pillows anytime he wants. Big sweetie boo💜
NYers are a funny group of humans (says the former Brooklyn/North Jersey resident now in Chicago burbs). Can be dismissive, rude, uncaring to a fault. But then they act like they did in your story. And which ones are going to show up on any given day? A mystery of the universe...Thanks for sharing!
Wow. What an adventure. Surely it will make its way into a book. You were both incredibly clever and very blessed at the same time. And oddly as I type this your husband just came on the TV. 🤣🤣
Thank you. This made me smile.
I felt anxious reading this story.
Yea, same here 😅 WHEW 😅

Oh, and I forgot, the handsome pillow arranger can rearrange my pillows anytime.

Kindness is much needed.

I love this story completely.
Always be kind, such a perfect motto to live by. You drew all this kindness to you, and you will again and again, 💞
Pfiou... that was a close one! This is a great story.
