You know what? Today, I am going to take a deep breath and shut my phone OFF!!! Thank you Janet for reminding me of the glorious fall day outside here in central NY, waiting for me to enjoy. 😊
Breathe… Ah, it’s a beautiful day in Denver, too. Out my apartment window near downtown, I see a couple walking and holding hands (cliche, but true), a woman fast-walking a GSD (you must think I’m making this up!), and an occasional car, scooter, or bicycle. It’s 8:30am; shortly, it will be a hustle and bustle, but the blue sky will remain and this moment will serve as a foundation for a lovely day. Thank you!
Reading your lovely writing is a refreshing way to start the day. I think I’m going to stroll through the farmers market. Ours will be shutting down soon. If Eli and Augie are like my girls, after having such a fun morning, they’ll be ready for a nap.
I think planning a trip a half year down the road is perfect. It really instills an excitement and anticipation that adds to your daily living. Once you reach that goal, you plan another event or trip thus extending your dreams even more. When you have calendar events to look forward to like that you can always claim “a life well lived.” Never stop planning, creating, dreaming.
Dogs on the couch - do they ever fight over the window seat?
Sounds idyllic, JF. We too are enjoying a stunningly beautiful Fall day. It’s our Thanksgiving weekend (in Canada) and my hubby and I are about to set off for a ravine walk with the pups. Our son and daughter-in-law are here with us and we will host dinner for family and assorted friends on Sunday.
Thank you for reminding us to turn off the madness and give thanks for the many joys we all have. 🙏❤️🦃
Thank you for the reminder to breathe. It came at a moment when I needed it the most. There are unexpected moments when you bring me peace, and I appreciate that so much. Thank you! 💕
I literally needed to read this today. I've gotten myself bound up and wound up so tight that I hurt. It's still incredibly hot here in Texas, which doesn't help my instinct to hide indoors. Paradoxically, I've been working the cash register at the concession stand for the school football games this season. I feel so guilty letting others do the work of volunteering and supporting the kids, but being in a cinder block building in 90 degree weather with no a/c is brutal. Maybe if I were in my 30s instead of my 50s, but yikes! Only 3 more weeks to go...
Yes, everyone, take a deep breath, and do something fun if possible! A spring trip to Paris sounds great! It’s going to be in the 90°s here in Arkansas this weekend, then on Monday, more fall-like temps move in. I’m ready for it. Today I’m going to a 90th birthday celebration! Have a great weekend!
Never gratuitous those dog photos. They bring joy! Silly animal videos of cats or dogs doing ridiculous things have made my day repeatedly.
I could spent the whole of a trip to Paris in three galleries. I have favorite exhibits that I sit with rather than trying to see everything. Then I would head for some crepes marron, a little cafe, and later some vin rouge.
I am heading out with my doggie for a romp. Her patience with me is extreme. In return I adore her and get her anything that will make her a happy pup. She likes a little chai latte as a treat or some chicken.
Fall is advancing quickly in the NE. Fall is fine, but the towns have trouble with snow removal. Then it is not quite so much fun. But it looks pretty.

Wishing you and yours a wonderful day. Breezy here and very fall like.

Enjoy your day and remember to breathe yourself! Hugs to Eli and Augie.

They jostle rather than fight.
Have a marvelous day everyone!❤️

Deep breaths are definitely needed.

You get points.
Happy resting today.
Extra kisses for the boys …
I find your writing so sensible and grounding, in a world full of noise and negativity. It makes my life better. Thank you.

Ah, Yom Kippur rest and reflection…calm seas and prosperous…the pix of Auggie and Eli aren’t gratuitous…they are ahhhhhhhhh
Auggie’s baby ears, Eli’s baby feet. It’s not like we were not warned.
